A mother, whose children are to be adopted after fears she would return to the partner who abused her, has said her "life has been destroyed".

The woman, who we're calling "Lucy鈥�, has had her words spoken for her.

She was repeatedly attacked by her partner in front of their children and has allowed him back into her life after previous violent incidents - but now says she's stronger and wiser, and has no intention of doing so again.

She said the decision to put her children up for adoption, which has been approved by the Family Court, is "cruel and absolutely unimaginable".
