£90 new England shirt is "madness" says Dave Whelan
The £90 price of England's replica shirt for the World Cup is "horrendous", Wigan chairman and sports retailer Dave Whelan has said.
The most expensive Nike "match shirts" will be identical to the ones worn at the World Cup finals in Brazil and have enhanced "cooling technology" according to the sports company's website.
Different "stadium" shirts are to be priced at £60. Versions for children aged between eight and 15 will cost £42.
The Football Association said it avoids any involvement with kit manufacturers over pricing.
