Enough of beards? "We've hit peak beard" says scientist
Have we had enough of beards? Researchers in Australia have said the facial adornment's popularity has peaked, because too many men have them now.
Evolutionary biologist Professor Rob Brooks from the University of New South Wales, explained that "negative frequency dependence" means "we've hit peak beard".
The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s Science Reporter James Morgan said in contrast to the usual evolutionary terms "rare traits can have an advantage" and has resulted in “a swing back" against the attractiveness of beards.
