Great War grooves
One hundred years ago portable music played a vital part in the lives of the soldiers of the First World War. Trench gramophones were in many ways the MP3 players of their day, and made a huge difference to the lives of the troops.
As part of Museums at Night, the Imperial War Museum North invited vintage gramophone enthusiast DJ Annabel - from Manchester music venue Matt and Phreds - to bring to life the decks of the dugouts.
