More than 100 satellites (Sprites) - each costing less than 拢200 ($340) - have been sent into space by the crowd-founded project Kicksat.

As it can cost around 拢100,000 per kilogram to send items into space, each satellite has been built to tiny specifications in order to keep the project affordable.
