
Francesca Martinez: 'Being loved' gets you through life
'If you're loved enough, I think you can really get through anything", stand-up comedian Francesca Martinez, who has cerebral palsy, has said. The comedian, who started her career on children's TV programme Grange Hill, has written a book called What The **** Is Normal. She said that society should "redefine" its value system and change outlook on life when it comes to what we look like. When Francesca was two years old, her parents were told she had cerebral palsy and would never lead a normal life. She's gone on to enjoy huge success on the stand-up comedy circuit.
