Syrian composer ‘shaking dictators’ through music
The award winning Syrian composer and pianist, Malek Jandali, has been a vocal opponent of President Assad and a champion of human rights in his home country. He has recorded a new album to raise money for Syrian children and in doing so has become the first Arab composer to record with London’s Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s Leana Hosea went to meet him.
