Hunger and anger in SA mine strike
Since January this year, about seventy-thousand platinum miners have been on a legally-protected strike, demanding a substantial pay rise. It is the longest strike in South Africa’s history. At the centre of the industrial action - the Marikana mine - where dozens of striking workers were killed by police two years ago. And as our Africa correspondent Andrew Harding reports, the violence has returned.
