US Syria policy ‘a mishmash’
The former US ambassador to Syria, Robert Ford, says he left his post in February because he could no longer defend his country's policy. Ambassador Ford, who's now a resident scholar with the Middle East Institute in Washington, says the consequences of standing back in the Syrian conflict will be costly. So when did he decide that he no longer supported the US approach?
