Rape in UK gangs ‘common’
Experts say rape in UK gangs often mirrors the violence in war zones - and does not get the attention it deserves. The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s Leana Hosea has spoken to two girls who became involved with street gangs and soon became victims of abuse. Through the help of support organisations - the Safer London Foundation and NIA ending violence - these 15 and 16 year olds managed to escape the circumstances they describe. But for their own safety we are keeping their interviews anonymous and their words have been voiced by actors.
