‘Self-healing’ treatment for tooth decay
Researchers in London have developed a way to repair tooth decay without the need for fillings. The technique uses a tiny electric current that speeds up the natural movement of minerals in the teeth, encouraging them to repair themselves. Professor Nigel Pitts, from King's College Dental Institute in London, which developed the technique, explains more.
