Return of the Rude Boy
Rude Boys, with their sharp suits and pork pie hits were a feature of 1970s British culture with ska bands such as The Specials, The Selecter and The Beat enjoying chart success. And now the Rude Boy is back, as a new exhibition in London shows. Fashion photographer Dean Chalkley and creative director Harris Elliot have been capturing images of people across the UK who embody the essence of a 21st century Rude Boy. So, what exactly is a modern day Rude Boy? James Coomarasamy went to find out.
