Cycling chief: 'Would've been nice to see Bradley on tour'
Brian Cookson, President of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), says "It would have been really nice to see Bradley on the tour".
The Tour de France returns to England for the first time since 2007, with two stages in Yorkshire and a third finishing in London on Monday.
The 101st edition of the 2,277-mile, 21-stage race ends in Paris on 27 July.
Cookson, who previously served as president of British Cycling from 1997 to 2013, also says "It's a long time since [France] won the tour, it's beginning to get a bit like Britain and Wimbledon".
