The man who would be Turkish president
Turkey holds its first direct presidential elections next month – and the man expected to win is the current prime minister, and three-time general election victor, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. There are two other candidates: Selahattin Demirtas, the pro-Kurdish party's candidate, and Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu a former head of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, which represents Muslim countries around the world. James Menendez put it to Mr Ihsanoglu that he doesn’t stand a chance.
