What impact will a planned £50m cut to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ News have on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ World Service?

Following the announcement of almost £50m of cuts by ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ News a listener asks what impact these changes to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ journalism might have on the output of the World Service. The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½â€™s Director of News and Current Affairs James Harding explains to Rajan Datar that the World Service budget is increasing at a time when other parts of the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ are being cut back. He outlines the significance of a new editorial position of Controller, World Service English.
