Ricky Reel's mother 'shocked' at police spying claims
The mother of a student, who was found dead after a night out in London in 1997, says she is "shocked" at suggestions police spied on her.
Sukhdev Reel said the undercover Scotland Yard officers should have been finding out how her 20-year-old son Ricky died, rather than "gathering dirt" on her family.
It comes as a report on undercover officers spying on bereaved families who had been campaigning for justice is due to be published.
In a statement, the Metropolitan Police said there was no evidence undercover officers "targeted or infiltrated any family members".
