
NHS doctor: 'It's important to establish our Gaza base'
Dr Tony Redmon is coordinating the NHS medics being sent to Gaza to help those injured in the violence.
He told 5 live Breakfast "We've drawn down an initial 15 and we will deploy these in the coming days in a staged fashion".
This is party of the government's emergency response to continuous violence in the Gaza strip.
The world expert on disaster emergency surgery and medicine continued "The important thing is for us to establish our base there now and make sure we are working very closely with the health care workers who are already there".
