Elisa Furr in Las Vegas is one of America's leading Celine Dion impersonators. She said Celine Dion’s songs are “vocally challenging” and “incredibly gruelling” and that the singer should "take a break...to rest and heal”.
The Canadian singer announced that she has put her ‘career on hold indefinitely’ for health and family reasons. The 46-year-old said she is cancelling all performances to focus on her health, her husband's health and their children.
Dion's manager-husband, Rene Angelil has cancer and she is also still recovering from an illness that inflamed her throat muscles and left her unable to perform since mid-July. All of her Las Vegas performances have been cancelled and so has her tour of Asia.
Elisa Furr said she has married a couple at the Via Las Vegas Wedding Chapel as a wedding officiator. She sang sections of the service script and inserted song titles, including The Power Of Love and My Heart Will Go On.
