Are women the key to preventing radicalisation?
The radicalisation of young British Muslims has long been a concern for UK authorities. It is thought that up to 500 British people have gone to Iraq and Syria to join the Jihadis – so have any of the attempts to de-radicalise young people had any impact at all? Kalsoom Bashir is a project director with Inspire, an organisation based in Bristol that works with Muslim women to tackle extremism in the community. Who does she blame for the situation?
