Should we pre-cook meat before we put it on the BBQ?
The Food Standards Agency is advising us to pre-cook meat before we put it on the BBQ, after a survey found that 21% of adults believed they had been ill after eating BBQ food.
Our presenter, Anna Foster, spoke to Shaun Partington of Savill Hill Farm. He recommended that "cooked right through" before it goes on to the BBQ.
However, world champion barbecuer, Tuffy Stone disagreed. He said pre-cooking food is "not BBQ" and people need to "understand the internal temperatures" of the meat they cook.
