Kurdish volunteer: World 'woken up' to IS threat
A volunteer in a Kurdish community centre in South London said ''unfortunately, it has taken the death of a Western journalist for the international community to wake up to the threat of ISIS and realise how serious it is."
His statement came after France, Italy and Germany sent weapons to arm Kurdish fighters against IS, formally known as ISIS.
He told reporter Lesley Ashmall, that he agreed with David Cameron, that there shouldn’t be troops on the ground, but believes that the Kurds "need to be provided with the right equipment to face ISIS".
