    Val McDermid - Interview
Mark Radcliffe presents the show solo, and is joined by crime author Val McDermid.
A writer of psychological thrillers, she's sold over 11 million books, and is translated to 30 languages. Perhaps best-known for writing Wire in the Blood, which was adapted into a 6-part TV series, Scottish-born Val's also written a book for children - My Granny is a Pirate - and recently appeared on Desert Island Discs.
Her latest novel The Skeleton Road with be her 28th novel.
