Men ignored firefighters to save dogs at the Manchester dogs' home
Jason Dyer and Daniel Vere said they were "engulfed in flames" as they ran in to the Manchester dogs' home to try to rescue dogs.
They said they could hear "glass exploding" as they rushed into the burning building and that the smoke "took their breath away".
More than £800,000 has now been raised for the dogs home in Manchester where the fire killed at least 60 animals last night. Another 150 dogs were rescued, and are now being cared for at a home in Cheshire.
Police are questioning a 15 year-old boy on suspicion of arson.
