Walt Disney's stage musical 'The Lion King' has now passed every other box office total to become the most successful media production of all time. With songs written by Sir Elton John and Sir Tim Rice, the show has earned nearly 拢3.8bn, overtaking the previous most valuable entertainment property, the Phantom of the Opera.

Georgina Bexon worked as a theatre producer around the world, and was on Broadway for the Lion King's opening night in 1997. She's been telling Rhod Sharp how it changed everything in the world of musical theatre.
