John is best known for singing the original version of Blondie’s hit “The Tide Is High”. With just a few more days left of Black History Month we look at why only a handful of schools and colleges opted to run any workshops on Black history. We talk to a British soldier about what it means to be a black man in the British Army, and why he thinks more people from the same cultural heritage as him should be coming forward.
