School buys bus to use as a classroom
A school in Newcastle has bought an old double decker bus to use as a classroom because of lack of space and money.
The bus cost £5,000 to buy and a further £3,000 to refurbish into a space for small groups of children to work on their numeracy and literacy skills.
Principal David Godfrey from the Central First School in Ashington says the children love the bus but staff “took a bit of convincing at first”.
