Mum on 'burden' of trying to find disabled daughter work
Mum Karen got in touch with 5 live's Your Call to talk about her 18-year-old daughter Lily, who has global developmental delay. Karen Taylor told us they just needed someone to give Lily a chance of work - but now she's got a job at The Sussex Produce Company café where her mum works at. 5 Live's Stephen Chittenden has been to meet them and Head Chef, Don.
Karen said: "I think it's an incredible opportunity, the burden of trying to find a young person like Lily, a job, is enormous because you don't want to ask, because you're afraid to ask."
