Doug Beattie, who served three tours of duty in Afghanistan, tells Stephen Nolan of the brutal reality of life on the front line, and how he is still haunted by his experiences: "Sacrifices of British forces are dwarfed by the sacrifices of Afghan security forces and the civilian population."
