Peter James: Stalker filled 'dungeon' with photos of me
Best-selling crime writer Peter James faced a horror of his own when a woman began "stalking" him eleven years ago.
He said the woman turned up to most of his events and sent him a photo showing a "serial killer dungeon room" she had made, using photos she had secretly taken of him.
James, best known for his series of novels starring DS Roy Grace, said that when he took the case to the police at the time, current stalking legislation had not been put in place.
"At that time they [the police] said: we can't do very much unless she kills you," he said.
