Town 'blighted' by delays over supermarket development
The supermarket chain ALDI has been accused of 'blighting' a part of Guildford in Surrey. The company acquired a site 8-years ago to develop a store - but building work has yet to start. Residents say the land could have been developed for other uses. It's one of a number of sitse up and down the country that are lying vacant as supermarkets review their expansion plans in the wake of tough trading conditions.
