Syrian man says friends were shot 'like birds' at protest
A Syrian man says nine of his friends "fell down like birds" after they were shot dead by government forces during a protest.
Afterwards Ayman Hirh, who ran a successful construction business in Damascus, fled Syria in fear of his and his family's lives in 2012.
Mr Hirh, his wife and twin sons now live in a small flat in Edinburgh.
He told reporter James Shaw what he saw that day.
