The Chorus and Orchestre Symphonique Kimbanguiste were founded 20 years ago in Democratic Republic of Congo鈥檚 capital, Kinshasa, by Armand Diangienda. His grandfather was Simon Kimbangu, whose teachings form the basis of Kimbanguism, the Democratic Republic of Congo鈥檚 third largest Christian religion. Simon Kimbangu also had a great love of music and said that 鈥渢o sing is to pray twice鈥�.
