Littering smokers to get vouchers - if they attend course
Smokers who drop cigarette butts in an area of south west London will be offered high street shopping vouchers if they complete an anti-smoking course.
The scheme, which begins next month, is part of Wandsworth council's plan to reduce smoking in the borough by 3% by next year.
5 live reporter Lesley Ashmall put the idea to smokers in the borough, who gave it a mixed reception.
But councillor Jim Madden, cabinet member for adult care and health at Wandsworth council, said people felt it was a "very positive step".
