"Using my own experience to fight female genital mutilation"
A Nottingham woman has launched a new project to raise awareness of the dangers of female genital mutilation (FGM). In this clip, Valentine Nkoyo speaks to the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s Reya El-Salahi about using her own experience of undergoing the practice to support other women in speaking out. The Kenyan-born women's rights campaigner is training FGM survivors to become specialist reporters for Mojatu Magazine, a publication for Nottingham's African and Caribbean communities.
