The Tanzanian government gives its commitment over ancestral Maasai land
The government of Tanzania says it is committed to ensuring Maasai pastoralists can stay on their ancestral lands. This commitment from the minister of natural resources and tourism, Lazaro Nyalandu, follows Masaai fears they will be relocated from land in Loliondo, in northern Tanzania, to make way for a wildlife hunting reserve.
