Cheltenham Borough Council has overspent on its refubishment of the Wilson Art Gallery and Museum by almost half a million pounds.

Despite being open for over a year, auditing teams have discovered in the last few weeks that hundreds of thousands of pounds were over spent - but not included in budgeting.

The Chief Executive of the Borough Council, Andrew North, has described the discovery as "disappointing" but believes that the spending was neccessary.
