Stay Another Day: the story behind the song

East 17's Tony Mortimer told 5 live that his brothers suicide was the inspiration for his bands Christmas hit Stay Another Day.

Tony said that he thought it would just be an album track and was surprised when it became a huge hit.

The singer song writer said that "as a writer you open up your soul and give it over. The fact that the song's lasted so long and done so well is just amazing... I love that people love it.".
