Devon pub holds free Christmas lunch for the lonely
An 86-year-old woman from Devon who paid for a huge pub lunch for dozens of strangers so she didn't have to spend Christmas alone has ended up raising thousands of pounds.
It means the pub, the Lamb and Flag in Ottery St Mary, will be able to hold a Christmas lunch for people who would otherwise be alone at Christmas.
Ron Miles is the landlord of the Lamb and Flag. He told Nilah on 5 live that he wanted to make it an annual event.
