'We saw them shoot a policeman outside Charlie Hebdo'
We gathered everybody "on the roof" to protect ourselves from the gunmen who killed 12 people in an attack on the Charlie Hebdo headquarters, says an eyewitness.
Journalist Benoit Bringer works in the same building as the satirical magazine.
He said the time spent hiding on the rooftop felt like "an eternity" before the gunmen emerged and shot a policeman outside the building.
Three masked attackers opened fire with assault rifles at the Charlie Hebdo office in central Paris and exchanged shots with police in the street outside before escaping by car.
