Winchester resident: Earthquake 'sounded like a lorry'
An earthquake measuring 2.9 on the Richter Scale has rattled Hampshire.
Tremors were felt across an area north east of Winchester shortly after 6:30pm on Tuesday evening.
Hampshire police say no-one was injured.
Rachel Cristofoli, from nearby village Kings Worthy, said the quake felt 'like a very heavy lorry rumbling down the road towards the house'.
