Stalked via smartphone: 'He was using it to follow me'
A woman who was secretly followed by her ex-husband for 12 months says he used the geolocation services built into her smartphone to find her.
The woman, who wished to remain anonymous as “Clare”, said he was using the phone's "Location Services" to “stake out and film” her without consent.
"It was used for intimidation," she said. "It was about really letting me know he was still in my life, he was in control."
"You become so paranoid, you can't understand how it's happening."
A conversation with a friend made her realise what he was doing and she informed police, but decided not to press charges.
