As the government gives the green light to the first official trials of driverless cars in the UK, 5 live Drive takes an in depth look at how this technology might change our lives in the future, with access to one of the pilot schemes running in Milton Keynes.

The Pathfinder project's self-drive pod will become the first autonomous vehicle to be tested on UK roads within the next six months.

Tony Livesey went to find out more and spoke to the project's chief engineer Jez Coates.
