Spitting Image impressionist: Satire needs anger
The Spitting Image impressionist, Steve Nallon, says political satire only works if its creators are "angry" people who care about injustice.
The 54-year-old, who impersonated Margaret Thatcher, Roy Hattersley and the Queen Mother, explained how he created their voices to match the puppets.
ITV has announced it will launch a new political satire show, Newzoids, in the spring.
In the 1980s, Spitting Image regularly had 15 million viewers tuning in to watch Mrs Thatcher berate her political opponents, not to mention her own Cabinet.
