Being tasered like being 'paralysed'
A man who was tasered in a police cell has described the feeling akin to being paralysed.
Daniel Dove, who had been arrested for being drunk and disorderly and assault, had a Taser used against him after throwing his pants at PC Lee Birch at Melksham Police station in December 2012.
PC Birch was subsequently found not guilty of assault and not guilty of misconduct ay Bristol Crown Court, while the case against Mr Dove was dropped.
Speaking to 5 live鈥檚 Rowan Bridge, Mr Dove said the experience was like being shocked by a cattle fence 鈥渂ut 50,000 times stronger.鈥
鈥淚 was paralysed,鈥 he said. 鈥淚 couldn鈥檛 move my hands; I couldn鈥檛 move my body. It was seized up. It wasn鈥檛 a very nice experience to have.鈥
