Former British soldier: Why I'm fighting Islamic State
Stephen Nolan exclusively interviews a former British soldier who explained why he has taken up arms against Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.
Alan Duncan, who is from Scotland, also criticised the government's response to the militants - calling it "shameful".
He said he is currently training an Assyrian Christian group, alongside the Kurdish Peshmerga, in Northern Iraq.
Duncan added: "I wear the Union Jack on my uniform. It actually lifts the spirit of the people. They feel that they have been abandoned by the West".
A 蜜芽传媒 Office spokesperson said: "The UK advises against all travel to Syria and parts of Iraq. Taking part in a conflict overseas can be an offence under both criminal and terror laws."
