Newport East: Investment opportunities in South Wales
As part of the series visiting 100 seats in the run up to the election Zoe Conway went to a housing development in Llanwern on the site of a former stee works.
Rupert Joseland, the developer's regional director, says they are building a new community on the site and will be creating 6,000 new jobs.
Dr John Deacon, from the University of South Wales school of business, says the development is welcome in the region
"What this site really means is a real confidence boost, it says Newport and the South Wales area is good for investment", he said.
