The number of affordable homes being built in the UK has dropped by a third in the last three years.
While many people are struggling to get on to the property ladder, there are places where the dream of owning your own home is in reach. But would you want to live there? 5 Live Investigates reveals the ten cheapest places to buy a house in the UK.
Adrian Goldberg went to North Ormesby in Middlesbrough, which is at number one with an average house price of £57,00, and spoke to some of the people who live there.
