Conservative Patel pressed about policy funding by Eddie Mair
The Conservatives Treasure Minister joined Eddie Mair to talk about the detail of policies in Conservatives Manifesto.
She was pressed on how the party would meet their pledge to increase housing and doubling the amount of childcare to working parents of three and four-year olds.
"As the market place grows, there will be more providers coming forward," said Priti Patel.
On Defence, Ms Patel responded to the manifesto not ring-fencing 2% of GDP in line with NATO targets.
She said "this isn't about giving commitments about 2%. We are investing in our armed forces."
Ms Patel was also challenged on some policies from the last Conservatives manifesto which had not been delivered.
"We had to take very difficult decisions to the economy back on track" she said.
She added "there wasn't Conservative government. It's been a coalition government."
