The year is 2027. Nathan Spring mistrusts the way police have become over-reliant on computers, preferring to use his own instinct. He is far from pleased when informed that he has been shortlisted for the post of Head of the International Space Police Force - whose inefficiency has branded them with the nickname of the 'Star Cops'.
