Former Yorkshire and England cricketer, and Manchester United supporter Geoffrey Boycott has described the team's current defence as being like a colander. Reacting to the news that defender Chris Smalling has signed a new contract with the club Boycott said: "Well he's not getting me enthused, put it that way. I ain't jumping up and down. We won't win the championship if he stays more than 5 years put it like that, we need a few others. Our defence is like a colander."
